Interactive projection mapping on a scale model, controlled via tablet.
« Dataviz’Up is the overhaul of NormanDisplay into a more robust, more modular real-time 3D projection tool.
An Android app to control and draw, a macOS app to serve the projection, with Syphon output to MadMapper to calibrate the 3D map. I opened the tool beyond Normandy with multi-territory templates and interfaces customizable in colors and text.
I reworked the drawing logic with controlled element stacking and a more reliable architecture. In addition, the navigation and the data-warehouse management were completely restructured, from architecture to interface.
This project helped me level up low-level networking between Android and macOS and interface design. The result: a stable, fluid experience to gather around a 3D map and create together, live. »
